Happy 2024, fellow freelancers and friends! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. Forgive me for the late wishes – I’d be lying if I said I felt fully ready for the craze of the New Year when it hit. Slowly but surely.
I saw lots of creators hopping on the ‘ins/outs of 2024’ trend this year, so I wanted to share mine: the freelancer/self-employed/content creator/whatever the heck you identify as in the online space edition.

becoming friends with other freelancers and creators
applying for opportunities you feel underqualified for
quickly separating yourself from exhausting freelance clients or work
in-person networking events
being consistent on Substack
Pomodoro technique
working at coffee shops
outs:
allowing freelance clients to contact you via text message
waking up in a panic over deadlines
feeling guilty during vacation/time off
writing on Medium
trying to figure out social media algorithms
procrastinating
sitting at your desk all day
